About Me

I am a senior at Connecticut College double majoring in Computer Science and Art with a focus in textile art and a scholar in the Ammerman Center for Arts and Technology concentrating in computer vision and facial recognition.

I am interested in the use of facial recognition technology as surveillance in social media. The widespread use of facial recognition technology has proven time after time to act as a tool to target marginalized communities. This project strives to cause a disruption in the way that we view this normalized phenomena.

My Senior Integrative Project is a digital filter for photos posted on social media that will block any used of facial detection or facial recognition. This filter can be used by anyone with the purpose of protecting the faces you decide to share on your social media from being used for data without knowledge or consent.
